Formed in 1996, the band were a regular on the Australian live metal scene alongside other local bands including BloodDuster, Damaged & The Berzerker. After completing tours with overseas acts Disgorge, Pungent Stench and Deeds of Flesh, Abrasion received multiple top10 nominations in the Music Oz awards for best Hard Rock/Metal act.
